HERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS I USED TO MAKE THIS PROJECT
In this tutorial the name Seal is referring to the use of the Stampin' Seal Adhesive.
- Cut a piece of Fresh Freesia or 2 Calypso Coral 11" x 4¼" and score at 5½". (This will be the Card Base).
- Cut a piece of Favored Flowers DSP 5" x 3¾" or cut 2 pieces of Dandy Designs DSP 5" x 3¾". Take notice of direction if pattern paper.
- Cut the Favored Flower piece or cut both pieces of the Dandy Designs together leaving a little not cut at both ends of all cut lines as follows:
On the 3¾" side cut in half at 1⅞", On the 5" side cut in half at 2½", place diagonal corners in the trimmer and cut, then place the other diagonal corners in the trimmer and cut. - Carefully finish cutting the lines and lay all the pieces as they were cut.
- Because we are using both sides of the Favored Flower DSP we will get one card. Because we are using 2 different pieces of the Dandy Designs DSP we will get 2 cards.
- On the Favored Flower 4 rectangles, remove the 4 right pieces or every other triangle, turn them over place then place in the appropriate place.
- Place your Fresh Freesia CS in the trimmer and on the lower front piece of the 4¼" side, place a pencil in the blade track at 2⅛" and make a 2" to 3" line in the center. Turn it 90 degrees and on the 5½" side, place a pencil in the blade track at 2¾" and make a 2" to 3" line in the center. Now take one of the lower corners and put the diagonal score line in the trimmer and make another pencil mark, then repeat on the other diagonal corner.
- Place or tack each piece on the card for placement. Start by aligning each corner using the pencil marks for the point placement. Adhere all 8 pieces, then erase the pencil marks.
- For the Fresh Freesia card, I fussy cut a larger flower from the Favored Flowers DSP. I then stamped the greeting with Fresh Freesia Ink on a Scrap of Basic White then ran it through the Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine using a Stylish Shapes die.
- For the Calypso Coral cards, I stamped the greeting with Calypso Coral Ink on a Scrap of Basic White then ran it through the Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine using the Beautiful Shapes dies.
- Add dimensionals to the flower and died cuts and adhere to the front of the cards.
- To put the final touches to the card, add Champagne Rhinestones to the front of the cards
Here are two additional cards that were made in my class this past week.
